In May, we held an
online contest to choose five lucky PHOTOVIDEOi™ readers to win the eneloop
battery. We asked them about their experiences with existing batteries and how
the eneloop has helped them. Here is what they had to say.

Nyan
Fu Keong, 17
Junior College student
“I used the eneloop for my DSLR flash units,
MP3 Players, walkie talkies, torch lights, portable radios and my wireless keyboard
and mouse. Now I can bring fewer batteries when I go out because the eneloop lasts
longer for me. I like the fact that it is ready to use off the shelf, environmentally
friendly and great looking.” |

Terry Yuen, 50 Professional photographer
“I have used all types of batteries before for my flashes, wireless mouse, MP3 player and recorder. Having an efficient battery power will certainly improve performance and reliability in my job as it will minimise downtime to change and charge batteries. The eneloop gives me the confidence of consistent performance and accurate intensity of the flashes which are important in my profession. Having a long shelf life is also very important when the availability of recharging power points can be days apart in some jobs.” |

Ang
Swee Leong, 26
Executive
“I often pre-charged my batteries for rainy
days. When rainy day eventually arrived, it’s shattering to know that my camera
failed to operate with those batteries. Being able to retain most of its charge
up to a year, the eneloop is my saviour in such situations.” |

Chong Yang Zi, 17 Junior College student
“I used the eneloop with my Graphic Calculator (GC). It is
an important tool for my ‘A’ level examinations. My GC needs a lot of battery
juice to operate. I need to change the batteries once every 2 weeks. Now I don’t
have to change it so often because the eneloop lasts longer for my GC. I’ll be
recommending this convenience to my classmates.” |

Emilin
Tan, 33
HR Manager
“My boss gave me a last minute task to take some pictures of VIPs visiting our company on the day I received the batteries. Thankfully, the eneloop was pre-charged and I could use it immediately right out of the packaging. I was able to take pictures for the whole day without having to recharge the batteries.” |
